When the Board of Directors and Range Safety Officers discussed naming the building Freedom Hall; the name is the result of a compilation of beliefs and recognized local and national history.
Freedom Hall is not just a place for meetings, training, and storage. It is a concept representing what our nation was built upon. It is also representative of what the City of Rupert is committed to doing; serving families, and building a sense of community. In addition, we hope you feel a sense of patriotism, and recognize the necessity of the Constitution of the United States, our Bill of Rights, and the Constitution of the State of Idaho.
Since it is the right, and duty of citizens to honor, and protect these freedoms we shall remember that freedom is not a destination, rather it is a continuing race against all who would end that journey. Freedom is also a hope for the future and continuation of this concept.
The Range Safety Officer's room is labeled 2A to honor the Freedom Hall. This room (exterior entrance) is a representation of the sacrifices and determination of our nation's founders.
These same commitments are held by those who willingly volunteer their time to ensure your ability to exercise your Second Amendment rights.
We hold our board meetings here once a month and plan our competitive shoots. Of course, both the city and county law enforcement agencies routinely conduct their certification and training classes to ensure proficiency.
Idaho Fish and Game holds Hunter Education classes here when scheduled. Other organizations hold their meetings throughout the month; check our Calendar page to view scheduled use.
Armed Women of America, Desert Sky Regulators Shooting Club, Boy Scouts, and concealed carry classes, and competitive events are regularly posted on the calendar.
Freedom Hall may be rented for special events when scheduled through the Board of Directors.
We are excited that we now have concrete sidewalks between the shooting shelters, along the front of the Freedom Center, and to the toilets.
There are more improvements in the planning stages and they all take $$$. When we are able we will implement our planned improvements.
