Youth Shooting PROGRAMS - 2024

4-H Club

We are in the very early stages of developing a 4-H competitive shooting program. We have two experienced and dedicated Range Safety Officers who are now organizing and will manage this new program.

West Minico Youth Shooting Team

We are seeking community volunteers right now to help launch this program. The shooting teams will be using .22 caliber rifles on Range # 6 which is also in the retrofit stages for a spring opening. Idaho Fish and Game

IF&G has expressed an interest in involvement in the development of youth shooting sports. There is a three-fold purpose in doing so.

First firearm safety training ranks at the top of importance.
Secondly, there is a sense of responsibility that develops in an organized, well-managed skills program.
Thirdly, accuracy, patience, confidence, and respect result in working closely with adults whose interest is in developing future leaders.

The expected results are hunters who are skilled, respectful of natural resources, including game animals, respectful of laws, and willing to share knowledge with others.

How to apply for a scholarship

Instructions - Applying for a Scholarship

Deadline for Submittal is May 31, 2024 @ 1700

Rupert Range Inc. scholarships are limited to one per recipient.

The Scholarship is available to a student who is actively engaged in shooting sports (Shotgun, Rifle, Pistol) and is a resident of Minidoka County or Cassia County desirous of continuing higher education.le, Pistol) is a resident of Cassia County or Minidoka County desirous of continuing higher education.

Required documents to include with the Scholarship Application:

• An official transcript of High School or if already attending college, an official college transcript.

• Three current letters of recommendation must accompany all applications. Including one

each from your Shooting Sports Coach and High School Guidance Counselor.

The form is a PDF fillable document that you will fill out. We recommend that you save it as a PDF file and then, if possible, add the letters of recommendation and your education transcripts to a file which you will send through the email below.
