While the Rupert Range use has been a" No-Fee for Use" range, unnecessary and dangerous use of steel core ammunition may change our use policy. Every firing range sees normal wear and tear of targets and stands as a natural consequence of business. We have been able to cover much of the costs through donations.
Cutting, welding, and fabricating the steel stands and targets are costly and, over time, require replacement or repair. The use of steel-core ammunition contributes to unnecessary damage.
Please note that intentional shooting of anything other than designated targets and/or failure to practice safe handling of any firearm may result in permanent expulsion from use of our facility.

While this depiction is of one stand, nearly all have sustained damage, making it difficult and expensive to replace parts.

Steel core ammo is no joke. While it may be cheaper for the patron, the damage is real, the danger is real.

Damaged wooden legs are an expected cost, as is the rubber backing on our stands. Steel core and magnum bullets punch holes in our plates which are expensive to replace.
